On Monday (2), the opening ceremony of the World University Beach Championship took place in Rio de Janeiro. Starting on Tuesday (3), athletes from 35 countries in beach handball, beach volleyball, beach soccer, and beach wrestling will compete on the sands of Botafogo Beach.
The first day of beach handball will feature five games—three women’s and two men’s. In beach soccer, there will be two men’s games and two women’s games.
In beach volleyball, the sport with the highest number of participants, there will be 52 matches on the first day. You can check the details of the matchups here. Remember that the times listed in the bulletins are local times, which is GMT -3.
On Tuesday (3), FISU TV will have two broadcasts of the competition. The first channel will air beach volleyball all day, and the second channel will broadcast beach handball in the morning and beach soccer in the afternoon.
