Brazil and Portugal will compete for the bronze medal
The fourth day of competition at the FISU Beach Sports Championship was entirely dedicated to beach volleyball. Beach soccer and beach handball had a day off, and beach wrestling starts on Saturday (7).
The stands were packed for the 14 matches played on Friday (6). The men’s final will feature the German duo Hustler and Just against the British brothers Bello. The women’s final will see the American team of Durish and Hodel face the German duo of Grünel and Schieder
One of the competition’s favorites was the Brazilian women’s and men’s teams, but despite playing at home with the support of the crowd, they failed to advance to the finals and will compete for bronze on Saturday (7). Karem and Luiza will face the Germans Schürholz and Uhl, while the Brazilian men’s duo, Matheus and Mateus, will go up against the Portuguese team of Pedrosa and Campos.
On Saturday (7), the long-awaited beach wrestling will also begin. For results and upcoming matches, check the bulletin.
